What do you consider to be the best days of your life? Next time, when anyone asks you that question, I bet your answer will be your university days. Right now, you are just out of school and filling out applications for further studies but somewhere, deep down, I know you feel anxious about entering this new phase of life with a huge flood of social media almost everywhere. If you look to your parents and relatives, they will no doubt tell you that it is one of the most important stages in your life and that you should work hard and take full advantage of it. On the other hand, when you turn to your older cousins, to older people, and to people just below your age, you will find that they will tell you that you have done a lot of the most fun you can do during your university days. I’m sure you’re very confused about which one to do again, and that you won’t want to make mistakes.

But I’m here, with the article, to tell you that you can do both. You can work hard on your studies, get good grades, have fun and make hundreds of memories of staying with you forever. We’ve all been there and heard the things you hear so well. So, yes, I can tell you a few tips and tricks, or you can call them habits that, if properly taught, will make your university days the best in your life. Learn more about the ten gold practices of the most successful university students.

1 — Be Super Organized.

I can’t put too much pressure on this so, this is the first practice I say. I spent two years at university busy and learned in my third year that chaos will not get you anywhere. On the other hand, if you are organized, you will feel more comfortable with your conflicts. I know a lot of you would be thinking and maybe wondering how you would be happy if you were organized because that’s like learning something, right? Yes, it is and it is not. Being organized is certainly a learning experience but I tell you that you should have some organized entertainment (indeed, you can go random sometimes, however, sometimes only). I suggest you make a plan, or buy a better planner and stick to it. This way you can save time for important activities and times when you are allowed to have fun in this way, you will never feel guilty about taking a break that you need.

2 — Focus on Your Lessons

This is a mistake most students make. I understand that going to university can be a big deal for many as it is a type of exposure that is very different from what one gets at school. You want to make new friends, there are new places to visit, new living quarters for many hostels, new fashion classrooms etc. So, the point I’m trying to make here is very clear. It would be great if you were to go to university for the first time and not be distracted by everything that happened around you. You want to try new things and in doing so, don’t forget that you have come a long way to this place to learn and make the most of your future. Just remember that if you complete your first year of studies, you may regret it later.

3 — Don’t Be Ashamed of Trying New Things.

I know, I know. Now you might think I’m contradictory. But I am not, because it was important to tell you that the lessons are important but you should know that the lessons alone will not help you at all. In the real world there, experience is more important than the textbooks you read. So, if you get a chance to dance in college with the number of the latest thing and you know you’ve never done it before, challenge yourself and do it. And remember, it doesn’t have to be that big. If you do not want to be under the watchful eye, then you can learn to do the little things you have never done before, such as learning to make sandwiches for midnight at the hostel.

4 — Make New Friends.

Now this can be very scary for some of you because not everyone can talk to people and make new friends. I’m not asking you to have a big group of friends. But instead, try to talk to everyone you can. Do not hold back from reaching out to friends. The reason I emphasize this is because life can be very difficult and your friends can be a great help to you. So, take a leap and make some friends.

5 — Clean Your Room.

Yes, I am adding one here because I know that many other articles have never been mentioned and that it is very important. At home, you may never have felt the need to sweep the floor and clean the dishes because your parents would take care of them, so when you go to university, you may not be used to cleaning the place. But hopefully, making your own bed every day and washing your clothes every week will take a long time.
